Fireflies and freelensing || Arlington Virginia family photographer

While in Knoxville for Father's Day we had a cookout with my family over at my sister's house. I already shared Liv's 6 month photos, and some sweet shots of the kids together, but I hadn't shared these yet. It was dark, and my ISO is cranked up. I embraced the dark, grainy images though, and I love these! Our baby isn't here yet, but I think one of parents greatest joys must be watching their children discover something new. I think on this night we all relived our childhood a little as we showed Ev the fireflies, and how to catch them in a jar. These are the kind of moments that childhood should be filled with. I have so many memories of summer nights, running around barefoot trying to catch as many lightning bugs as I could. It filled my heart with delight to watch Ev's wonder as he experienced the same thing. I can't wait for our little boy to get here, and I can't wait for long weekends spent with cousins chasing fireflies.
