December. The last month of the year, and what a year it's been. December wasn't what I thought it would be though. So full of promise and all the fun things I thought we would do this month to celebrate Christmas turned into my son getting a really bad virus with a high fever, then we were out of town for several days and once we were home I got sick myself. Oh, and did I mention Cantor cut his first molar during this month as well? Sadly, it resulted in the fewest photos I've taken per month the entire year. I can't help but think back on all the moments I didn't capture for one reason or another. It's a new month though, and a new year though so here's to taking more photos!
This month Cantor really started getting into playing peek a boo. He can also find his nose, which kind of looks the same as peek a boo. I took so many photos of him playing both because it's just the cutest to me and I love how much joy it brings him. While not captured in these photos his language has also really boomed this month. He's saying so many new words. Here are some of the words he's saying: mama, dada, car, seaf (short for uncle Joseph), more, hot, amen, nack (for snack), bite, milk, shoo. It's so funny to me the words that he's picked up on!
This month he got to play in the snow with dada for the first time. He loved it and didn't want to come inside! We also had another sensory bath this time with spaghetti noodles. I gave him lunch first thinking that would cut down on how much he ate, but ultimately I just think he thought mom was being weird and giving him a snack in the bathtub! He really loved squishing the noodles though. Even more than the yogurt, I think. Lastly, at the very end, there's a couple of cousin photos and some Christmas photos of the newest baby cousin Jett. We had so much fun spending Christmas with them in Arkansas!
At the bottom of this post, you'll find the links to every month this year if you want to go back and revisit each month. I also plan on doing a post of my 2017 favorites but haven't had a chance to pull them all together yet. Be on the lookout for that soon though!
